Cross country was yesterday.
It was really different from the school I went to last year. It was like an obstical course. I had to go over a slippery, muddy hill. It was so muddy I could barely stand up straight. Then I had to go down which was easier, but I still had difficulty. Then I had to go through a creek and wash the mud off, only to find I would get muddy again. Then I had to go up a hill which wasn't that hard. I had to do everything twice.
My thoughts
At my school last year, we ran three laps of the field and that was it. No muddy hills. No creaks to run through. No fun.
I don't like running in general, so I thought I wouldn't like it. But this was so much fun. They say you can't judge a book by its cover. Its true.
I am so glad you thought that our cross country was fun Shelby! It was very muddy! Well done on your efforts in your training and on our day.
