Swimming Sports Reflection

Ok. I'll go straight into it this time. I got to school thinking it was a normal day. Then I saw people in there house colours. I knew what this meant. I was swimming sports and I had completely forgotten! I had to get changed before we went and line up outside.  I had seen I had forgotten my googles! "Why today," I thought.
I knew I could swim without them, but I much preferred to be able to see where I am going.  I went in the give it a go freestyle. At least the water was warm.  I had to go to the side a few times. I had to mutter to myself that if I had gotten this far, I could complete it. As far as I could tell I had come last. It was my first time in a lane other than lane six or one.  Then I sat on my towel. I was surprised no-one had eaten me yet. Then again, an ice block is a hot day thing.

Making A Difference

The number of New Zealand children going hungry has not been measured directly since 2002, when a Ministry of Health survey found that 83,000 children, or 17 per cent of those aged 5 to 14, sometimes or often went to school without breakfast. -Mr Google

After reading this, I was actually so sad. I don't know about you but breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. Pancakes, cereal, toast and eggs. It upsets me to think about all the children missing out on that. They must get really hungry between waking up and going to school.

After thinking about it I have decided to raise money to buy boxes of cereal to give to hungry children. I have decided to sell handmade cards. I will buy healthier cereal with the money and hope it lasts for a while.

Setting the scene

This is my drawing for setting the scene. The book is where cuckoos call. I like it. The picture is of the view from treetops.  I did the beach, a river, some trees and his house. I am proud of it.

Five in the hive!!

This book I brought because I like reading and books. Not this particular book, this is just on I found in a Mc Donalds happy meal.

This is a picture of me as a baby. I can think of many reasons for bringing this. Like the time I at a lemon or ate tomatoes in the bath when Mum turned away.

This is my unicorn. I brought it because I like unicorns.

This photo was taken in 2016. Everyone in my class had to get one of these photos taken.

This is my tiger Hatchimal. I brought him because I like tigers and Hatchimals.

If I could bring one more thing I would bring my horse Hatchimal. I love horses and want one of my own. I thought it was interesting that at first there was a theme with the cricket ball and then marbles and a few fishers.

Creativity and Resilience Drawing!

This is my creativity art! I did creativity because I am being creative when drawing it so I can witness what it is like at the same time. Creativity is my favourite learning power because it encourages imagination and if it is a group thing then connecting as well.

This is my resilience drawing! It has resilience because the circle starts out looking like a squashed orange and ends out perfect! It wouldn't of happened if I didn't keep trying. Again I did resilience because I got to witness it.
