Term 3 Reflection!

Term 3 is coming to an end, it is week 10 right now! Mrs Kennedy said we won't do chapter chat next Term because they don't think Granny Gangster is going to be a very good book. I am going to miss Chapter Chat because next Term is the last Term of the year! This Term has gone very fast. Maybe we could do our own Chapter Chat and we post our activities on our blog?
Enough talk about Chapter Chat. This Term I took part in the HP speech competition finals. I didn't realise how nervous I was until I walked into the classroom door that day. On the night Mum and I got lost, trying to find the hall. There was a sign on the front office that said "THIS IS THE FRONT OFFICE (NOT THE HALL)". But there were some other people going in there so we ignored the sign and went in. We turned right and entered the hall. I had to sit at the front. I was the last person in year 5s & 6s to deliver my speech. At the end, everyone was buzzing about which ones they liked and which ones they think will win. The judges said it was a very hard thing to deside. I didn't place, but I was still proud. Mum said on the way home, that the ones that did win were true speeches, facts and stuff. I didn't really care. I was still proud.

On Friday last week, we had different teachers because our normal teachers were going to visit a different school. First I did poetry in the Hui. We had to write poems about someone special. I did two poems, one about Kaitlin, one about Jeremy. Second I did maths. We did a basic facts twice and if we bet our first score on the second one, we got a lolly pop. Only two people in the whole Knowledge Seekers got one. Then (Still in maths) we did an animal challenge. We had 20 questions and if you got at least 50% of it right, everyone who didn't already get a lolly pop in your group would get one. My group got 15/20 so we all got a lolly pop. By then everyone had a lolly pop. And I also discovered that I LOVE orange Chupa Chups. Lastly (No longer in maths) I did tree art with Mrs Fraser. You had to draw the outline of the tree trunk with pencil. Then you had to colour the ground with different shades of green. You had to colour the sky with blue pastel with maybe some pink or purple. And you had to colour the leaves with red, yellow and orange.

Words to describe this Term.

Rating for this Term.

Calendar Art!

This is my Calendar Art! At first I had know idea what I was going to do. Then I got an idea of my brain was exploding because there was a volcano there(Or I was just too smart. You decide). Everything came out of my head. I have my hands on my head because I'm trying to hold it together. I am proud of my Calendar Art.

Chapter Chat Round-Up

For this week's blog post, we had to put our favourite Chapter Chat activity. This is Laura's Brain! I have her thoughts about the beads and I also had what she was thinking about the fire at the top of the chimney.

A Panda's Birthday!

On the 22 August, Bei Bei the giant baby panda turned three years old! That does not mean he got to invite tigers and lions to his birthday. But he did get a toy for his birthday(not by an elephant, by the zoo) and a cake made from ice which he ate all on his own. If you are making plans to go to the national zoo next year for his birthday, I am very sorry, but he will go away from the zoo, and into a breading program, to so he can help to add to the panda population. I wish I could've been there! I thought it was so cute, I made sure I bookmarked the article.

Spring has Sprung

Spring is here! Yay!

To me, Spring is mainly about a new start. What I mean is that spring is known for the flowers, so new ones come out. And Spring is also known for baby animals being born. My favourite season is Summer.
